New in store.

Sarah Murphy, until recently the buyer at Market Import, in Armadale, has just left to set up her own business producing yummy Bon Bon Soaps.

"Inspired by the traditions of my great grandfather and his brothers who had the Murphy Brothers General Merchants in Kerang in the late 1800's I have endeavoured to create a soap which is lovely to smell, delicious to use and looks very pretty as well."

They are all made with palm oil and palm kernel oil that has been certified as sustainable by the Round Table on Sustainable Palm Oil. They all contain shea butter for its nourishing and moisturizing qualities. The soap has been triple milled French style to give it a very smooth feel and a creamy lather when using it. It also stops it from drying and cracking up and keeps its shape so you can use it right to the end.

The soaps are made in Melbourne, wrapped in stock made from recycled paper, and hand wrapped at Ability Works which provides employment for people with disabilities.

They are delicious. J & I have been using the tea rose fragrance for the last two weeks and the whole bathroom smells yummy!

The love of my life...Ralph Lauren

Ralph Lauren’s 22,000-square-foot, four-story women’s flagship is finally open, 888 Madison Ave in New York City, but the brightest sparkle perhaps comes from the 600-square-foot watch and fine jewelry salon on the ground floor. The simultaneous introduction of six fine jewelry collections exclusive to the store represents a new direction for the company, which plans to expand distribution this year in select markets.

Standouts include the Equestrian stirrup pendants, the Signature Diamonds and Classic tennis bracelet and necklace, and a jaw-dropping Monogram necklace with akoya pearls and rose gold with diamond monogram (and a hefty $145,900 price tag to boot).

The Manhattan flagship will be "one of the most glamorous and largest Ralph Lauren stores in the world, fully dedicated to women's luxury offerings and home collections," the company said in a release.

Across the street from the new flagship, the original Madison Avenue flagship at 867 Madison Ave — the Rhinelander Mansion — will be the first flagship dedicated exclusively to Ralph Lauren's men's luxury offerings.

Lovely ideas

The black and white Paris map paper in frames is one of the most cost effective ways to decorate a plain wall. Looks fantastic.
And MJ Bale had a great mix of old pieces of furniture, ladders, etc to help merchandise the new store on Queen St.

Big ticket item

Popped over to Neutral Bay to have a little play at HR. Tried on the most amazing Oscar De La Renta shoes, yummier than lunch at Pier!

With labels like this to choose from it is quite overwhelming: Alan Hannan, Beverly Lister, Jenny Packham (think Elle McPherson), Monique Lhuillier (think amazing!), Oscar De La Renta (think Carrie), Suzanne Neville and of course our trusty old favourite Vera Wang (think everyone).

We didn't get a glass of bubbles but it was a fabulous experience, fabulous service and Helen is nothing but professional with a wealth of knowledge and advice.
