London Fashion Week - Street Style

It's often more interesting to see what is going on with the crowds rather than on the catwalk. So here are some shots of what made London Fashion Week memorable. It is the small touches that what make these shots noteworthy.

Poppy King at Kate Spade

During the University years all we wore was Poppy lipstick. It was such a huge phenomenon - matt brown lips was my staple (along with RMs, collared shirts and pearls!). So I was interested to read about this collaboration earlier this week. What a lucky girl!

All the lovely ladies...

Picture perfect scene and I cannot stop staring at this photo, examining every little minute detail.

Like Margherita Missoni's sky high Charlotte Olympia Dolly pumps, and Shala Monroque's bright yellow skirt. Even Derek Blasberg and his safari jacket, hot on the heels of this bevy of incredibly chic women outside the Ciambattista Valli FW 11/12 couture show.

Unexpected gifts are the best!

Arrived home late Monday night to find a little gift waiting for me. For no particular occasion or event, just one of those moments. Love.

So I am busy constructing outfits in my mind to showcase this new little number. Perfect for the upcoming summer fun! Had its first outing yesterday to Alstonville to view the Brigid McLaughlin Winter 12 range.

Anya H

We love the quirky yet conservative nature of Anya Hindmarch products. A beautiful luxury label yet a little under the radar.

Had great pleasure reading this email yesterday... add it to the list.

The first Anya Hindmarch 'Two-Way' Diary has been a labour of love
created with fastidious attention to detail. The unique 'Two-Way'
layout holds both a diary and a notebook and is closed with a
rotating pencil with a built-in eraser (very important!) The diary
includes some of Anya's favourite quotes and an 'Our London'
section containing London address book secrets.

Each diary can be personalised with the owner's name on the front
and a handwritten message or drawing can also be embossed, sealing
a memory or a moment of that year to keep and treasure.

Anya has also designed a very special 'First Edition Diary'
inspired by London's iconic Cabman's Shelters. Just ten of
these hand-tooled diaries have been made, working with
London's oldest bookbinder

Pop-up Island

Everyone is doing "the pop-up", but a pop-up island is one I have not seen before. But being in Melbourne, you just never know...

Had a quick coffee at Ponyfish Island last Tuesday and was pleasantly amused with the concept.

Quick trip back to Melbourne

Was lucky enough to be back in Melbourne last week for Winter buying of Anna Thomas (a riot of colour coats) and Morrison (they have the best denim jacket for Winter 12).

As you do in Melbourne I stumbled into Ridgway Place, off Little Collins and stopped short. Snuggly fitting in the bottom floor of Monaco House, everything about this teeny tiny space was appealing. I could not wait for the coffee to hit my lips.
