One of our favourite stomping grounds in London was Sloane Square. Many a coffee was had at Oriels (where they filmed the scene from Four Weddings and a Funeral with Andi McDowell counting up her many lovers), before we would decide Kings Road or Sloane Street. Perhaps decided on according to our budget for the day!

A new reason to visit is the very exciting news that a Kate Spade store in opening on Symons Street.

We love Provence

Always well worth a trip whenever I am in Melbourne, but on the last trip I had an extra special excursion to the Cote Provence warehouse. Mind blowing is all that I can say... gave me enough material to keep daydreaming for weeks.

From Cote Provence we have just received in the Belinda's Stores the beautiful antique cherry picking baskets. Great to pack with little gifts, storage for your eggs, fruit & veg, linen... the possibilities are endless. ($24.95 each)

We also received the divine vintage corn sacks that can be converted into novel cushions for your bed or favourite armchair. Beautiful cream calico with red printing ($35.00).

Colour Blocking at Belinda's Store

We love colour blocking and it always comes together so beautifully at the Grafton store.

Red, yellow, pink and green, purple, orange and blue... well we didn't manage purple, but AA ticked all the other colours off!

Leaving the USA very soon and making it's way to Belinda's Stores are the new Anne M Cramer delicious bits and pieces. My favourite is the "wrap it up streamer". I cannot wait to decorate my outfits with those little gems.

Gewurshaus - Herb and Spice Merchants

Had a lovely little trip to Gewurshaus on Saturday morning on the advice of SS.

So delightful. Picked up the vanilla bean sugar to sprinkle over fresh strawberries and the Mexican spice mix for JD's burritos!

Amazing smell when you enter the store, beautiful layout and packaging.

Dreaming of Chanel

AA has a very busy weekend ahead of her, a somewhat enviable one at that. No doubt she will return refreshed, enthused and brimming with inspiration. We have sold both Dreaming of Dior and Dreaming of Chanel in the stores recently. They are beautiful little books that are tiny glimpes into the significance of clothes on the emotional roller coaster that is life. Not sure about you, but I can always reminisce an occasion by what I was wearing at the time.

This exhibition brings to life the garments contained in the book Dreaming of Chanel by Charlotte Smith. These garments are part of the Darnell collection, which Charlotte inherited from her Godmother Doris in 2004, consisting of thousands of pieces of clothing dating from 1790 to 1995.
