Seascape

Friends of Jacs are in town for the night. I always recommend staying at Seascape and eating freshly caught prawns on the verandah. The moon is full and bright, and amazing to watch coming up over the ocean.

Beautiful flowers at the end of my street...

Walking to the beach each morning is a delight, just for seeing these beautiful hibiscus flowers and their lovely gentle shade of pink.

Alexia - carrier of style

I have been stocking Eclettica in my store for almost four years now. I was initially drawn to the signature orange lining that is in each of Alexia's handbags. Over time, I have grown to love Eclettica for its quality, designs, and exquisite materials, be it leather or canvas. This article is in this months InStyle magazine.

Lots of colour, surfers and hand holding...

A "love"ly weekend..

Ducked to Byron Bay for a quick two night get away and we had a lovely time. Drove from Astonville on Saturday morning through Eltham and Clunes and then continued on the back roads through to Byron. The drive itself was a delight, so lush and green. Amazing what you find on little winding roads in the countryside. This little store in Clunes has changed dramatically over the last few years. There is lots of lace, but if you bury deep enough, some real treasures.

Shopped at...

Island Luxe. Even JD was impressed. This store is simply beautiful, the all white interior is the perfect backdrop for the lovely goods and shackles that are just begging to be purchased. I don't always buy something, but it is a lovely treat to just walk through the front doors.

Website is not operational, but www.islandluxe.com.au

Popped into Country House Antiques, Newrybar to catch up with Dazza. Always full of beautiful pieces, it is always rewarding to pop in here.

Ate at...

St Elmos. Yes, I was attracted by the name (it is one of my favourite movies!). A relatively new bar which is more Melbourne than Byron. Great cocktails, great share plates, great staff, great atmosphere, the company, of course, was the highlight. We had a fabulous time.

Stayed at...

The Byron at Byron Resort and Spa, which was fabulous. Lovely staff, so peaceful, perfect location and well spaced rooms. It was bliss. The spa was fantastic.

Love the monogram

Saks Fifth Avenue are offering a "Personalise" service to a select range of products including Longchamp handbags as Mother's Day gifts..

I have always been a huge fan of the free Louis Vuitton personalisation service, with all my pieces stamped with gold "BJS". Mummy Fox recently had the dilemma of which initials to use. Maiden "SJF" or married "SJH"? It made me think that these special purchases and the initials on them will act like little reminders of where we were and what stage we were up to. As Jacs recently told me when pondering a new handbag decision "it's a heirloom, just buy it". Won't our girls be happy.

Last flash of summer

Heading to Byron this weekend for a quick getaway. Clutching to the last strands of summer, so loved the look of the teal colour Ginger + Liz. Give my nails a quick blast of summer colour.

Hop Hop

This is where I would like to go for a winter retreat. The Southern Ocean Lodge on Kangaroo Island off the shores of South Australia. Australia's first true luxury lodge, nestled atop a secluded cliff on a rugged stretch of coast, I imagine this would be near impossible to leave.

It looks flawless.

Mind the "GAP"

In two minds about the news that Gap is opening at Melbourne's Chadstone Mall.

Have always loved "needing" to go os to pick up new favourite white crew neck t-shirts, and other bits and pieces from Gap. It has been a strong staple in my wardrobe since living in London.

The excuse of needing to go overseas to shop seems to be getting a little tired with more and more labels available on line, and more expansion into Australia.

Oh well, there is also my other trusty favourite, J Crew, who do not deliver to Australia, and there are no foreseeable expansion plans into Australia. So, I do need to go back to New York City!

In store now

The new Sambag "Ali", is too hard to resist. My favourite is the pink leopard print, I've been watching them pirouette out the door.

Lovely LV

Had to pop into LV (Brisbane store), on a "chore" for Mummy Fox. Had D with me, who swiftly chose a man bag and new wallet for his next birthday. Love that he has that appreciation.

Was delighted to see the LV windows full of gold gilt birdcages with their lovely bags floating inside like captured birds waiting to be freed. Sadly there were no purchases for me, but the in store visit was well worth it. The staff are fantastic, and it is always good to do a little research for the next purchase, whenever that may be.
